We provide comprehensive services that encompass every aspect of animal welfare, from round-the-clock rescue operations, animal birth control, preventative and vital medical treatments to rehabilitation and adoption. In the past year alone, our impactful animal welfare efforts have touched the lives of over 16,000 animals, excluding those that received essential medical care at our veterinary clinics.

Lifelong Animal Protection Charity Founded by Sheila McClelland, Lifelong Animal Protection has been a registered charity since 2003. However, it has been well over 20 years since Sheila rescued her first puppy from being sold as dog meat on Lamma Island. Since that fateful day, LAP has grown into an animal rescue and rehoming charity with two adoption centres - one for dogs in Tsuen Wan, and another cat centre in Sai Ying Pun, both 100% run by volunteers.

“House of Joy and Mercy" was established in 2015 by Miss Ivy Tse, as a memory for adopting a dog called “A-Qun" from a commercial breeder. Its small animal shelter home in Kam Tin mainly adopts the abandoned and stray cats and dogs suffering from illness, providing daily and medical care, neutralisation and arranging new owners for them.

It also provides short term sheltering for pets in need. “House of Joy and Mercy" has extended the variety of animals being rescued and taken care of, such as hamsters, rabbits, pet birds and goats to arrange suitable adopters for them.

Home for Homeless Dog was established in 2019 and is located in a remote village zone in Tai Po. The founder, April, loves dogs since she was a child. In order to build a dog shelter, she resolutely resigned her job and sold her property. She wholeheartedly takes care of the stray dogs and selects suitable adopters carefully. April hopes that the poor stray dogs and abandoned dogs can only live happily and healthily without worries.
